Lord Nelson “Bound for Falmouth with Dispatches” Limited Edition Print

“On the 26th October 1805 Lieutenant John Richards Lapenotiere, commanding His Majesty’s schooner Pickle left the British fleet off Cadiz bearing dispatches from Vice Admiral Lord Collingwood to the Admiralty. These dispatches contained not only the news of the navy’s crushing victory over the combined French and Spanish fleets at Trafalgar but also the loss of England’s greatest fighting sailor, Admiral Lord Nelson.  Two hundred years on and the vessel named in honour of our most famous disabled sailor, the Jubilee Sailing Trust’s STS Lord Nelson, sails the same waters, bringing the New Trafalgar Dispatch home to Falmouth for delivery to the Admiralty.
